August, Babies (2), Construction Pics, and an Amazing Link

I’m headed to Africa again, August 8. It will be 4 1/2 weeks of teaching and re-connecting with my church family in Liberia and Sierra Leone. I excited about the days ahead! I will spend two weeks in Liberia and then two weeks at two locations in Sierra Leone. I should arrive home September 9. The first week in Liberia I will be teaching with a team of 5 men from William Tennent School of Theology in Colorado. I’ve had a chance to meet them over zoom, host some of them in our home, and I am truly blessed to have them travel and teach with me.

But first! A photo of my grand-daughter and her two new identical twin brothers. Samuel and Luke were born July 14, and are healthy and loved. Their sister, Harper, is a bundle of too much excitement. What a gift from God our grandchildren are! We are at six for now…

Here is a short recap of the last two months:

I was the speaker at a Northern California church camp, June 3-5, the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew was my text.

Adult teaching training seminar at my favorite church, Christ Community Church [CCC], June 18.

Preached at CCC, on Father’s Day, June 19. CCC is the church Vickie and I attend. I preached a similar sermon at another church the end of July. The videotaping at our church didn’t work that morning, but Trabuco Canyon’s did. Here’s the link – https://trabucochurch.org/sermons/

Preparing for teaching and leading teams to Africa.

The following is my schedule for the next several months:

Teaching Course 4, “Understand and Teaching Gospels using the Gospel of Mark”, in Liberia with 5 men from William Tennent School of Theology – https://www.williamtennent.org. I’m exciting about partnering with William Tennent in Liberia for future trips also, August 14-20.

Teaching – O.T. Major Prophets, Liberia, August 22-26, 6 hours a day for 5 days.

Teaching Course 2, “Story of the Bible,” in Makeni, Sierra Leone, August 29 – September 2.

Pastor’s Conference in Freetown, Sierra Leone, the book of Jonah, September 6-8.

TLI staff meeting, 5 days in October, dates TBD.

Liberia and Sierra Leone most of December.
