About the Burrises

Bob and Vickie have been serving the Lord together in the ministry since they were married in 1981. Bob received his ministry and theological training from BIOLA University (B.A.), Talbot Theological Seminary (M.Div), and Westminster Seminary in Escondido (D.Min). He pastored three churches in California for 36 years. Bob is ordained by the Evangelical Free Church of America.

Over the years, the Lord had given them a desire for discipling believers in the faith, equipping them for the ministry, and encouraging the church to work in personal evangelism and global missions. Their passion for their friends and the nations has led them to not only be “senders” but “goers.” They work diligently on personal strategies for outreach, and loving their neighbors and friends with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They strive to make the reality of the awesomeness of the Gospel and Jesus  Christ known to those in church and those outside God’s community.

Bob has taken many trips to train national pastors and church leaders: Myanmar, India, China, Romania, Moldova, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Sierra Leone, South Africa, and Liberia. Through these trips, the Lord not only opened their eyes to the urgent need around the world for sound biblical teaching in churches but also has given them a passion to see pastors & church leaders equipped to feed & lead their flocks.

Since 2018 Bob has served with Training Leaders International as a full-time International Trainer, http:\\TrainingLeadersInternational.org

Bob and Vickie have been married for over 42 years and have four children – three married, and seven grandchildren! They currently live in Orange, CA, and enjoy time with their children and spouses, cycling, mountain biking, reading, garage-sailing, gardening, teaching and serving on the missions team at their church in Laguna Hills. Vickie continues to work part-time at the hospital teaching expectant moms and dads about all the technicalities of child-birth.
