It is true. Those who suffer know about God in a different kind of way. It is instruction that I need. Best not to avoid those in pain, but draw close to help and learn about the God of all comfort! Amy Medina’s article is spot on.

We live in a screen filled world. In the olden times we lived or visited with our family and freinds, in a screened in front porch. I think the olden times were better. Tony Reinke writes perceptively and biblically about this revolution of digital media that is destroying souls.

My next trip will be to the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, a city of almost 3 million. This will be a little longer than most, two full Saturdays of teaching and then every evening for 3 hours. I will also be taking the leader in Addis Ababa to visit another TLI site in Ambo, about a two hour drive due West.

I will be teaching a Biblical Theology course at a potentially new site for TLI. It is a formal site so all the students have at least a bachelors degree. And I will be able to develop my own curicculum.
I will be teaching and traveling by myself. One of the main goals of the trip is to evaluate if the site will be an appropriate venue for TLI. So pray that everything goes well.
